My advisor is Dr. Michael Roan and I am currently working in the field of visual human surveillance with an emphasis on activity classification and abnormal motion detection. My work focuses on the development of systems which can accurately analyze the complex motions of people observed by video cameras. The images are analyzed using a variety of techniques including statistical methods, dimensionality reduction techniques as well as standard and fuzzy neural networks.   Once estimated, the observed subject’s kinematics are analyzed through the use of biomechanical principles of human locomotion.

When I am not working, I enjoy playing golf, tennis and paintball.
