Phillip Chin

Philip Chin is working with his advisor, Dr. Michael Roan, to satisfy the
remaining research requirements to obtain a Ph.D.  He participates in the
Office of Naval Research Cooperative Behaviors Group at VT and his current research thrust areas include:  forward looking sonar (FLS), image analysis, control applications of processed acoustic data, and underwater acoustics.

Philip has four years of experience working as an independent engineering
consultant identifying and testing the damage to electrical and mechanical
components for the insurance industry.  He received his M.S. in Electrical
Engineering with emphasis in control theory from The University of Alabama
in 2005.
